About RAW Acoustics

Since 2000, RAW Acoustics has been building and constantly perfecting the art of electrical, acoustical and aesthetic design for sound reproduction. Combined with finely handcrafted speaker cabinetry and exotic wood veneers, the aural excellence of RAW Acoustics speakers is right at home in any setting. From a standard stereo hi-fi configuration to the most elaborate and large-scale home theatre rooms, our speakers are designed to meet and exceed the most exacting audiophile's aural and architectural standards.

RAW Acoustics offers a variety of products: home theater speakers, subwoofers, custom speaker cabinets, sub drivers, CSS drivers, Adire Audio subwoofers, ribbon tweeters, DIY speaker kits and more.

Based in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, RAW Acoustics is located less than 10 miles from the U.S. border. Our small production facilities are equipped with the latest in manufacturing and quality control testing gear, including LspCAD Pro, Praxis, SoundEasy and MLSSA.

Our commitment and promise to our customers is to provide a first-rate product that outperforms other speakers costing substantially more. To that end, we also offer speaker and enclosure kits made up of the same industry-leading components that we put in our own hand-built units: we give you the step-by-step directions, you add your own labour.

Reviews and shows

The HT3 was reviewed by Stereomojo, and the HT2 by AffordableAudio. Owners of the LX II, HT2, HT3, HT8 and Apex wrote about their speakers on AudioCircle; you can read some of their words on the HT3, HT8 and Apex pages.

We exhibited at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in 2007, and counted Stereomojo and Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity among our industry friends.

How the range fits together

The HTi and HTO series share their cabinets, woofers and crossover points; the only difference is the tweeter, our RA104.5 ribbon or the OW4 Hiquphon Platinum dome. The Apex series scales the same ideas up to a 4-way tower, and the TL series applies them to a transmission line. Our upgrades page lists the parts that could be swapped in on any of them.
